STORIA: la monkstrap ( in inglese monk) così chiamata perchè ricordava i sandali dei monaci, è un modello di scarpa che ha più di cent'anni. Si hanno testimonianze infatti di monk progettate come con scarpe da ballo da abbinare al kilt. Il vantaggio nel calzarla sta di certo nella sua comoda chiusura priva di stringhe. è formata infatti dalla mascherina e dai gammetti dai quali si distingue facilmente una fibbia utilizzata come chiusura.

Fibbia liscia. Pellame: crosta inglese. Colore: testa di moro. Foderata. Fondo: gomma cucita, fresata a mano. Peso: invernale. Questa scarpa intramontabile è un grande classico. Si adatta agli ambienti lavorativi formali così come con un jeans. Molto comoda da allacciare per l'assenza delle stringhe, è utilissima in inverno come scarpa da pioggia grazie suola di gomma che la isola benissimo nelle fredde giornate invernali. Un grande classico di Cardinale.
